Green Day

We enjoyed cleaning up the environment on Green Day.

Totara Team had to pull out the weeds and clear the rubbish from the bio-cycle area.

We did a fantastic job! A special thanks to the parents that came to help us.

Swimming!

We have been thoroughly enjoying using the SOLAR heated pool to cool us off. We were even lucky enough to work with Room 2 and they helped us learn to swim.

Wedding Mufti Day

We had so much fun dressing up to celebrate two teacher's that will be getting married to their partners in the holidays.

Integrated Studies

We have been learning that Journeys create change and lead to new experiences.

We had to use our knowledge learnt throughout the unit to create a journey.

We had to remember the following:

• Where we were going?
• Who was going with us?
• What we were going to do when we got there?
• Why we were going there?

Lucia - It if great that you always join in class discussions, keep up the great work.

Nate - We are so new to school and always trying new things and sometimes it is hard work, well done for showing resilience and always giving it a go!

Position of objects

In Maths we have been learning about a position of an object in relation to another.

We are learning about the words, beside, next to, on top, around, behind, under, to the left/right, in, below, above, inside, outside.

We buddied up and asked our buddies to put a shape __(use words from above)_ in relation to another shape.

Term 4 has begun and we are underway with lots of learning!

Firefighter Matt shares how we can keep SAFE!

Firefighter Mark came to school to talk to each of the teams about their learning. 

We learnt about all the different things we need to be doing at home to keep us safe from a fire.

When we are asleep we cannot smell fire, that is why we need a smoke alarm in our room.

The girl in the story had to jump out the window because that was the safest way out. She went to the safe meeting place.

We need a smoke alarm in every bedroom, in the hall and in any living rooms.

We must close the door to stop the fire spreading.

Candles are a tool and not a toy. We must never light candles they are for adults.

Montana is giving the matches to an adult.

Junior Cross Country

We loved doing Cross Country - all the hard work had paid off and the sun was shining! A great afternoon!
