The Letter M!
We are learning the alphabet.

We enjoyed making the letter 'M' with playdough!

Swimming Sports
We showcased everything we had learnt during our swimming unit at the junior school Swimming Sports.

Road Safety
Constable Andy came to visit Room 12 and 13 to teach us about the importance of being safe around the road.
We learnt to walk up to the curb, take a step back, look both ways twice and then safely walk across the street all the way to the footpath on the other side closest to the houses.
He taught us a rhyme:
Stop, Look and Listen before you cross the street,
Use your eyes,
Use your ears,
Before you use your feet!

We practised on the court before we went out onto the road.
Remember to look both ways - twice!
Not to fast and not to slow!
We learnt to hold someones hand - an adult is the best!
We went out to the Kea crossing outside our school at the front and back. We must remember to use these crossings even if our car is parked far away.
We sensibly crossed the road when the constable put his hand down and said "Cross now"
Look at us looking both ways to keep checking it is safe.
We are road safe Clevedon kids!!
Certificates
A big congratulations to Xavier and Ben who received a Totara Team certificate at the junior assembly.
Ben got his certificate for being resourceful and using the learning tools around the room.
Xavier got his for showing Passion in his learning.
An excited group of children received their birthday certificate at the junior assembly.
We all sang them Happy Birthday and gave them a big clap.
